Indonesian Palm Oil News (IPO News) – PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) received awards from the Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemendikbud) and the Ministry of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises (Kemenkop UKM) for its active contribution to the 2024 Indonesian Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Festival (FIKSI). FIKSI is a prestigious event designed to showcase the entrepreneurial talents of high school (SMA/MA) and vocational school (SMK) students across Indonesia. From regional to national levels, this event is held in stages to select the best participants from 38 provinces in 5 fields for SMK and 6 for SMA. Since 2020, UT has consistently provided full support for this event, including curriculum development, providing appreciation, bridging student entrepreneurship innovations with the needs of the business and industry sectors, and serving as judges represented by Dimas Aryo Wicaksono in the Digital Technology field and Galih Haidar in the Health and Social Entrepreneurship field.
The event took place from September 24-29, 2024, featuring judging sessions, product expos, and an award ceremony. Fourteen thousand students participated, generating total product sales of IDR 112 million. At this event, UT’s Partner School (SOBAT), SMKN 2 Samarinda, won a gold medal in the Health and Social Entrepreneurship category with their innovative product, MUPUK (Hair Becomes Fertilizer).
Hopefully, this event will motivate more students to develop their creativity and entrepreneurial spirit. This aligns with UT’s commitment to promoting entrepreneurship education and generating innovations that will benefit society in the future.
