History of Company

Initially named P.T. Ivomas Pratama, it was established in 1992 with the authorized capital of Rp. 20,000,000,000 of which Rp. 4,000,000,000 was issued and fully paid up. Whereas, the shareholders of the company were Mr. Anthony Salim, Mr. Andree Halim and Mr. Duchro Sayadi. In 1994, the company was renamed to P.T. Salim Ivomas Pratama and in 1995 the authorized capital of the company was raised to Rp. 30,000,000,000 of which Rp. 23,421,311,032 was issued and fully paid up.

In 1996, the authorized capital of the company was increased again to Rp. 300,000,000,000 of which Rp. 75,000,000,000 was issued and fully paid up. In 2006, there were five companies merged into the company including PT. Pratiwimba Utama, PT. Gentala Artamas, PT. Intiboga Sejahtera, PT. Bitung Menado Oil Industry, PT. Sawitra Oil Grains and at that time the shares of the company were controlled by PT. Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk, PT. Birina Multidaya, PT. Bina Makna Indopratama and PT. Metro Lintas Nusa.

Based on information received by IPO News until September 2021, Mr. Franciscus Wilerang is no longer on SIMP’s shareholder list. The profile of SIMP is as follow :

SALIM Group or INDOFOOD Group through its subsidiary PT. Salim Ivomas Pratama (SIMP) is a palm oil company with the largest landholding for oil palm plantations in Indonesia. Until 2020, the total planted area of oil palm is 303,149 hectares, consisting of 253,061 hectares of mature plantations and 41,435 hectares of immature plantations.

SIMP’s oil palm plantations spread in Riau (56,359 ha), North Sumatra (37,990 ha), South Sumatra (97,979 ha), West Kalimantan (26,650 ha), East Kalimantan (64,225 ha), Central Kalimantan (11,329 ha), Java (3,229 ha) and Sulawesi (5,388 ha).
