Indonesian Palm Oil News (IPO News) – FIRST RESOURCES GROUP (FRG) which is based in Singapore is a leading palm oil company in Indonesia and in the world. In 2023, the total owned palm oil areas were 213,421 hectares, consisting of 177,930 hectares of nucleus plantations and 35,491 hectares of plasma plantations. Its oil palm plantations spread in Pekanbaru, Riau, West Kalimantan and East Kalimantan. FRG also has rubber plantations covering an area of 6,321 hectares.
Until 2023, oil palm plantations which have been in production reached an area of 195,067 hectares consisting of nucleus plantations covering an area of 159,608 hectares and plasma plantations covering an area of 35,459 hectares. FRG also owns 18,354 hectares of immature oil palm land.
The average age of First Resources Group (FRG) oil palm plantations is 0-3 years covering an area of 18,354 hectares (9%), aged 4 -7 years covering an area of 17,241 hectares (8%), aged 8-17 years covering an area of 124,749 hectares (58%), aged 18 years or over 53,077 hectares (25%). Until 2023, the total palm oil plants (PKS) owned by FRG is 18 units.
First Resources Group (FRG) and all of its subsidiaries have run a sustainable palm oil business according to the standards set by ISPO and RSPO. They have been RSPO members since 2015 and until 2017 had received several RSPO certificates. In 2022, the Group received RSPO certifications for an additional four mills, covering 40,263 hectares of plantations. In 2023, the Group received certification from RSPO for one additional subsidiary, covering 3,838 hectares of plantations in East Kalimantan. This brings the total number of subsidiaries with RSPO certifications to nine, covering six mills and more than 63,000 hectares of plantations in the provinces of Riau and East Kalimantan.
