Indonesian Palm Oil News (IPO News) – AGRO INDOMAS Group is a long player in the palm oil business in Indonesia. According to IPO News observations until 2024 from a total land area of 26,516 hectares, many palm trees were old and must be replanted immediately. About 98% of the palm trees were over 15 years old, 1% of 13-15 years old, 1% of10-12 years old, 0% of 7-9 years old. AGRO INDOMAS Group did not have palm trees which were 4-6 years old.

The performance of AGRO INDOMAS in the last four years (2019-2024) had fluctuated. The highest performance occurred in 2023. This can be seen from the production of Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFB), Crude Palm Oil (CPO) and Palm Kernel (PK). In 2019 the total FFB production was 711,427 tons, decreased to 651,873 tons in 2020, to 613,994 tons in 2021 to 711,427 tons in 2022 increasing to 881,142 tons in 2023 and predicted to rise to 898,800 tons in 2024. The above TBS production is derived from internal and external sources.

The same thing happened to CPO production. In 2016 AGRO INDOMAS successfully produced 139,405 tons of CPO declined to 134,612 tons in 2019 to 130,553 tons in 2020 to 128,787 tons in 2021 went up to 178,022 tons in 2022 and predicted to go up to 179,200 tons in 2023 and 2024.

In contrast to the fluctuating production of FFB and CPO, AGRO INDOMAS Palm Kernel (PK) production is seen to continue to increase, except for 2021. In 2019 PK production amounted to 31,559 tons increased to 32,644 tons in 2020 escalated to 30,602 tons in 2021 to 31,559 tons in 2022 to 41,294 tons in 2023 and predicted to reach 42,500 tons in 2024.

Based on IPO News’s observations, the working relationship of this company group with the community around the plantation is very good, so that mutually beneficial cooperation is established. As a social responsibility, AGRO INDOMAS Group is also involved in repairing the provincial road connecting Sampit – Bagendang in East Kotawaringin Regency (Kotim).

Based on information received by IPO News in July 2025 that as an effort to support the National Forest Area Enforcement Program (PKH) and to maintain security in vulnerable areas, the Danau Sembuluh Police Sector conducted a routine patrol at the operational area of PT Agro Indomas. The patrol was led directly by the Chief of Danau Sembuluh Police Sector, IPTU Rakhmat Effendi, S.H., accompanied by two officers. The targeted location was Afdeling 4, Block I06/I07 area, Sungai Putun Estate, which directly borders with Terawan Village, Seruyan Raya District, an area included in the PKH Task Force monitoring list.

The patrol aimed to prevent theft, illegal harvesting, and other suspicious activities within the area. Based on inspections conducted at the coordinates -2.555047, 112.420527, the situation of a plantation area of PT Agro Indomas was found to be in a stable and secure condition, with no violations identified.
