Indonesian Palm Oil News (IPO News) – Bumitama Gunajaya Agro Group (BAG Group) or BUMITAMA AGRI LTD is a leading palm oil company in Indonesia and the world with a landbank of 234,000 hectares. Until 2024 BGA had planted oil palm area of 187,021 hectares namely in Riau covering an area of 2,000 hectares, West Kalimantan of 80,000 hectares and Central Kalimantan of 105,000 hectares. Total mature oil palm plantations covering an area of 124,408 hectares (core) and an area of 62,623 hectares (plasma).
From approximately 42 subsidiaries, BGA has 66 plantations (estates) spreadin in Riau, Central Kalimantan and West Kalimantan. BGA has 17 Palm Oil Plants (Mill) with a capacity of 1,165 tons per hour. The locations of the plants are in Riau of 1 unit, West Kalimantan of 7 units and Central Kalimantan of 9 plants. The processing capacity of each plant is different. Some have a capacity of 45 tons of FFB per hour, 60 tons per hour and 75 tons per hour.
BGA has 42 subsidiaries to support its activities. Based on CDMI’s analysis of Indonesian Sustainable Palm Oil (ISPO) data, 7 of these subsidiaries have the highest FFB, CPO and PK Production:
The first is PT Gunajaya Ketapang Sentosa (GKS). In 2024, GKS, with its 7,665 hectare plantation, produced 281,144 tons of Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFB), 64,021 tons of Crude Palm Oil (CPO) and 12,321 tons of Palm Kernel (PK). GKS’s production is predicted to increase by 8% in 2025. GKS has one Palm Oil Mill (PKS) with a capacity of 60 tons of FFB per hour.
The second is PT Bumitama Gunajaya Abadi (BGA). In 2024, BGA, which has a plantation area of 15,225 hectares, produced 237,165 tons of fresh fruit bunches (FFB), 64,021 tons of crude palm oil (CPO) and 12,231 tons of palm oil (PK). BGA’s production is predicted to increase by 7% in 2025. BGA has one mill with a capacity of 60 tons of fresh fruit bunches (FFB) per hour.
The third is PT Windu Nabatindo Abadi (WNA). In 2024, WNA, with its 11,059 hectare plantation, produced 232,050 tons of fresh fruit bunches (FFB), 56,458 tons of crude palm oil (CPO) and 11,258 tons of palm oil (PK). WNA’s production is predicted to increase by 8% in 2025. WNA has one palm oil mill with a capacity of 90 tons of FFB per hour.
The fourth is PT Windu Nabatindo Lestari (WNL). In 2024, WNL with its 8,796 hectares plantation, produced 138,215 tons of fresh fruit bunches (FFB), 34,800 tons of crude palm oil (CPO) and 5,395 tons of palm oil (PK). WNL’s production is predicted to increase by 8% in 2025. WNL has one palm oil mill with a capacity of 60 tons of FFB per hour.
The fifth is PT Agro Sejahtera Manunggal (ASM). In 2024, ASM with its 6,124 hectare plantation, produced 132,100 tons of fresh fruit bunches (FFB), 32,100 tons of crude palm oil (CPO) and 6,800 tons of palm oil (PK). ASM’s production is predicted to increase by 8% in 2025. ASM has one palm oil mill with a capacity of 60 tons of FFB per hour.
The sixth is PT Gunajaya Karya Gemilang (GKG). In 2024, GKG, with its 7,559 hectare plantation, produced 115,300 tons of fresh fruit bunches (FFB), 52,500 tons of crude palm oil (CPO) and 10,900 tons of palm oil (PK). GKG;s production is predicted to increase by 9% in 2025. GKG has one palm oil mill with a capacity of 60 tons of FFB per hour.
The seventh is PT Karya Bakti Agro Sejahtera (KBAS). In 2024, KBAS, with its 4,848 hectare plantation, produced 93,350 tons of fresh fruit bunches (FFB), 22,300 tons of crude palm oil (CPO) and 4,200 tons of palm oil (PK). KBAS’s production is predicted to increase by 8% in 2025. KBAS has one palm oil mill with a capacity of 60 tons of FFB per hour.
