Indonesian Palm Oil News (IPO News), Jakarta — Indonesia’s listed palm oil companies recorded strong financial performances in the first half of 2026, supported by commodity prices, production performance and improving downstream business prospects.
Based on financial statements for the first half of 2026 compiled by Indonesian Palm Oil News (IPO NEWS), several major listed palm oil companies reported net profits of more than IDR 1 trillion. PT SMART Tbk (SMART) and PT Triputra Agro Persada Tbk (TAPG) were among the companies posting the highest profits during the period.
The comparison uses profit attributable to owners of the parent entity where available, in order to provide a more consistent basis. This is not an official ranking issued by the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), but a compilation based on the companies’ H1 2026 financial reports.
SMART POSTS PROFIT OF AROUND IDR 2.34 TRILLION
PT SMART Tbk (SMART), part of the Sinar Mas agribusiness group, recorded net profit attributable to owners of the parent entity of approximately IDR 2.34 trillion in H1 2026. The figure represents a significant increase from approximately IDR 825.38 billion recorded in the same period of 2025.
SMART also reported net sales of approximately IDR 43.73 trillion, reflecting the company’s large scale integrated agribusiness operations, covering upstream plantations as well as downstream palm oil and related products.
TAPG ALSO EXCEEDS IDR 2 TRILLION
PT Triputra Agro Persada Tbk (TAPG) also recorded profit of approximately IDR 2 trillion during the first six months of 2026. The company reported revenue of around IDR 5.85 trillion, supported by its plantation operations and palm oil production activities. TAPG’s performance places the company among Indonesia’s major listed plantation groups in terms of first half profitability.
AALI RECORDS PROFIT OF MORE THAN IDR 1 TRILLION
PT Astra Agro Lestari Tbk (AALI) reported profit attributable to owners of the parent entity of approximately IDR 1.10 trillion, increasing around 56.5% from approximately IDR 702.12 billion in H1 2025. Revenue reached approximately IDR 15.26 trillion.
The performance demonstrates the significant contribution of the company’s plantation business amid developments in the palm oil market during the first half of the year.
SSMS MAINTAINS STRONG PROFITABILITY
PT Sawit Sumbermas Sarana Tbk (SSMS) also posted strong results, with profit attributable to owners of the parent entity reaching approximately IDR 904.41 billion, an increase of around 30.8% year on year. The company recorded revenue of approximately IDR 9.65 trillion, with CPO revenue contributing around IDR 5.32 trillion.
DSNG POSTS IDR 985.88 BILLION PROFIT
PT Dharma Satya Nusantara Tbk (DSNG) recorded net profit of approximately IDR 985.88 billion, growing around 7.8% compared with the first half of 2025. The company’s revenue reached approximately IDR 6.29 trillion, with its palm oil segment remaining the dominant contributor. During the period, CPO sales volume increased around 2.5%, while palm kernel (PK) sales volume rose approximately 13%.
OTHER MAJOR LISTED PALM OIL COMPANIES
Other companies included among the major profit contributors in H1 2026 were PT PP London Sumatra Indonesia Tbk (LSIP), with profit attributable to owners of approximately IDR 891 billion, up around 25%.
PT Salim Ivomas Pratama Tbk (SIMP) recorded approximately IDR 874 billion in profit attributable to owners, increasing around 16%, while revenue reached approximately IDR 9.63 trillion.
PT Sumber Tani Agung Resources Tbk (STAA) recorded total net profit of approximately IDR 854 billion, with profit attributable to owners reaching around IDR 757 billion, an increase of approximately 15.3%. Revenue rose sharply to around IDR 6.07 trillion, up approximately 69.1%.
Meanwhile, PT Tunas Baru Lampung Tbk (TBLA) recorded profit of approximately IDR 430.1 billion, while revenue increased around 10.8% to approximately IDR 11.63 trillion.
Completing the group, PT Eagle High Plantations Tbk (BWPT) recorded profit of approximately IDR 211.19 billion, up around 22.87%, with revenue increasing approximately 17.15% to IDR 3.26 trillion.
PALM OIL REMAINS A KEY DRIVER
The H1 2026 results underline the continuing importance of the palm oil sector to Indonesia’s listed agribusiness companies. Beyond plantation production, companies are increasingly developing downstream activities, including refined palm oil, oleochemicals, biodiesel and other value added products.
The financial performance of these issuers also provides an important indication of how Indonesia’s major plantation groups are navigating commodity prices, production conditions, downstream demand and the country’s broader palm oil industry dynamics.
