Fatty Acid Industry
In chemistry, especially biochemistry, a fatty acid is a carboxylic acid with a long aliphatic chain, either saturated or unsaturated. Almost all natural fatty acids have unbranched chains with an even number of carbon atoms, ranging from 4 to 28. Fatty acids are usually derived from triglycerides or phospholipids.
Total Fatty Acid Producers
From the output of IPO News observations, currently there are approximately 50 companies producing fatty acids made of CPO with a total production capacity of 859,641 tons per year. From 50 companies, there are 29 companies which are located in North Sumatra. Meanwhile, when viewed from the largest capacity, PT Soci Mas is the greatest with a capacity of 120,000 tons per year, followed by PT Cisadane Raya Chemical of 97,000 tons per year and PT Pacific Palmindo Industri of 90,300 tons per year in the third position.
